Sensei Alison Peachey Yondan (4th Dan) commenced her training with Ishinryu Karate Australia in 1989. She attained her black belt in just over 3 years and is currently graded 4th Dan black belt. She is the highest graded Ishinryu woman outside of England.
Sensei Alison has trained on three of Sensei Ticky Donovan's OBE 9th Dan week long Summer Courses in England, winning several trophies in kata, kumite and fun run. Sensei Donovan is the founder of Ishinryu Karate and long time (recently retired) coach of the record-holding English karate team. Sensei Alison melded a successful competition career with developing as a referee. She now holds national accreditation in both kata and kumite, and is the Chief Referee for Ishinryu Karate Australia. She is also one of only a handful of coaches within Australia to have achieved silver level accreditation. Sensei Alison is a stickler for technical excellence and consistency. She is thorough and realistic about the potential of each student and is skilled at student assessment and multitasking to ensure that all students gain their utmost from each class.
